Job Description
OverviewThe Department of Public Safety (DPS) is seeking a self-motivated and detail-oriented Financial Administrator III to join the Grants Management Unit. This position will be responsible for the financial management of the Emergency Management Performance Grant, Emergency Operations Center Grant, and the State Highway Safety grant programs. This will include activities such as preparing grant applications, program financials, federal drawdowns, execution of subgrant agreements and amendments, reviewing subrecipient reimbursements, and general grant compliance.
Ideal candidates will possess strong computer and Excel skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well with our subgrantees and Federal Agency partners. Knowledge of the State's Peoplesoft VISION financial system is preferred but not required.
This position follows a hybrid schedule with three days per week in the office. This allows our team in-person collaboration to build relationships, share knowledge, and work through challenges together while maintaining flexibility for remote work that supports focus and balance.
