Description
A Medical Office Administrative Assistant, also referred to as Medical Office Secretary or Medical Office Specialist, will perform routine administrative tasks to help keep the physicians’ offices and clinics running efficiently. You will learn medical terminology, a cornerstone of the medical office, as well as an understanding of Anatomy and Physiology, Coding, etc. Your Medical Office Specialist online education will put you ahead of other candidates by giving you job-ready skills, which will make you immediately employable!
- Reviewing and answering practice correspondence
- Operating computer systems or other types of technology to accomplish office tasks
- Answering calls, scheduling appointments, greeting patients, and maintaining files
- Updating and maintaining patient and other practice-specific information
- Learning to coordinate collection and preparation of operating reports such as time and attendance
National Certification
Upon graduation students will then become nationally certified through National Healthcareer Association (NHA) as a Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA).
