Description

The ReSOURCE Wash and Learn Program aims to train approximately 18 people over a twelve-month period in 3 cohorts consisting of six participants.  This is a 6-week Hospitality, Customer Service, and Employability skills course. Through this technical training course, participants will complete ReSOURCE’s Customer Service and Personal and Professional Development (PPD) certifications. Certification-based course work will be supplemented by hands-on training through managing Wash and Learn’s social enterprise at the King St. Laundromat location. Upon completion of the Technical Training phase, participants will begin trial work experience placements with partner employers for a period of 2-4 weeks. This will allow employers a low-risk, low-cost means of training and screening potential applicants, and ReSOURCE and its partner network will seek preferential hiring agreements with employers for participants who successfully complete work experience placements. In addition, for participants seeking to establish independent small businesses,
