Employers Services

Welcome to VermontJobLink, a free job match and workplace information service for employers. VermontJobLink is your portal to services offered through the Vermont Department of Labor.

Employers can access a variety of services through JobLink. As an employer, you can:
  1. Establish a self-service Internet account to manage your own job openings and search for your own candidates.
  2. Receive assistance from our professional staff in recruitment or a combination of both. If you would prefer, our staff can enter and manage your specific job openings.
About Your Account
After creating your account and entering a job order, your account must be validated by our staff before your job order is made available to job seekers and you can view a job seeker's resume contact information. This validation is usually accomplished within 24 hours; however, please wait for 72 hours before making inquiries. If you enter an email address, we will contact you upon approval of your account.

About Your Job Order
Approved employers may enter job openings directly into the systems to be viewed by job seekers. Each position will require an individual job order. We have three classifications of job orders:
  • All information order - allows job seekers to view all employer contact and job order information.
  • Blind ad order - will hide all employer contact information from viewing except your e-mail address.
  • Search only order - is not viewable by job seekers, but allows employers to search and view skill comparisons and job seeker resumes.
Employers may select the "Make Inactive" button from your active job order list for the active job order to be removed from the job seeker's view and places in Inactive status. Reactivate and update the job order by clicking the "Make Active" button.

Your active job orders are available to our professional staff to match job seekers and job orders. Through the labor exchange matching system, you may be referred job seekers interested in your job by our staff, or job seekers may contact you directly using the information provided on your active job order.

Please provide accurate contact information to make contact easier for an interested job seeker.

When entering a new job order, the system populates the form with your business information from your registration. The zip code that you enter in company information determines the geographic area in which the order will be displayed.

You must select an occupational classification that best describes your job opening. A specific job title is required to be entered. This is an important step as the occupational classification is used to conduct all job matching activities.

Requirements for Job Listings
We depend upon you to keep your job postings and other information about your company updated. We reserve the right to remove any job posting from the file if it contains inaccurate or inappropriate information.

The following policies must be adhered to when using the system:
  • Neither you nor your agents may charge a fee to provide a job seeker with access to a job referral. Individual customers have been asked to report any violations of this policy.
  • Neither you nor your agents may use the service to recruit replacement workers in a labor dispute. Individuals have been asked to report any instance of such recruitment.
  • You may not resell or repost resumes found on this site. Such resale or reposting violates the individuals ability to control who accesses their resume information.
  • You may not post job orders for positions that are not currently available, or as a source of sales leads, or anything related to network marketing or pyramid schemes.
  • You may not utilize job seeker information for any reason other than in filling your available positions.
Employers must provide equal employment opportunities to applicants without regard to race, color, religion, gender, age, national origin, or disabilities. Various laws prohibit the Vermont Department of Labor from accepting discriminatory job orders:
  • The Civil Rights Act of 1964 As Amended;
  • Age Discrimination Act of 1967 As Amended;
  • Rehabilitation Act of 1973;
  • Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Act of 1974;
  • Americans With Disabilities Act of 1990; and
  • The Wagner-Peyser Act as Amended
Violations of these laws will result in the loss of access privileges.

Additional services available:
  • Employers have easy access to Career Information under the Main menu to review employment trends and wage/salary information.
  • The Quick Search feature on the VermontJobLink Home Page allows employers to conduct a quick review of active job seeker resumes by geographic location and use of keyword(s).
